Ok after doing some more research on the Jonas method it really is nothing major.
Check here for some more details on his method and how crazy it is. It’s mostly some arcane calendar method. In reality half the time he’s right and the half the time he’s wrong. 
I saw the Jonas method after a quick google search and found his sex selection page here. So far I haven’t found anything on his website about what his method actually is but it seems to be based on hormone measurements and calendar days. They also claim the rhythm method fails. After several years of using NFP and only 2 planned pregnancies (both of which happened the 1st month we tried) I can say NFP works. But you have to go by more than one set of data. If you cross reference temps, cervical cm, and cervical postion you can get a really accurate description on what is going on.
I’ll do some more digging into the Jonas method and see if he’s got anything or not.

What would it hurt if you listened when God asked you to do something. I asked that question and tried to share what I felt was an answer here.
We’re currently waiting on an answer from God before we go ahead and have more children, but last cycle we almost messed up. We were relying on certain signs and symptoms on her chart so we though we had a safe day. After entering her temps in to FF (Fertility Friend) a few days later we started sweating a little bit. We had accidentally bd hours after she ovulated. Unfortunately temps don’t tell you the whole story when it comes to Ovulation so we can’t say it was exactly 12 hours after but it was the night before the temperature rise. To make matters worse she ended up being 2 days late so those last two days we tested and ingested our nails. Everything was okay and AF came late, but it does go to show you can never be to careful.
But based on our experience O+12 is not a reliable means of getting pregnant… or gender swaying.
I fond some nifty information that bears out with our own experiences. At this website located here they point to some research that showed early hcg levels are lower with boys than with girls. The research is interesting and it explains how me and my wife could test and get very faint bfp’s with our boys. It’s something to think about.
Apparently the phrase your mileage may vary should be applied to everything in life. Especially pregnancy. There’s an image at Wellcome’s image collection that shows an embryo implanting at day 6. The books and the websites all say day 7-10 are when implantation occurs. Yet here’s a picture of it happening a day early.
Why is this important? If variations outside the norm are common then you could be pregnant and not know it till later. In the grand scheme of things though we are still talking variations of days at the most. Still the picture is pretty neat.
