A great book for husbands
I’ve been married happily for ten years and I thought I would share one of the books that have helped me to get there.
If only he knew is by Gary Smalley and is an excellent resource for men. He teaches men how to restore their marriage from the brink of divorce. More importantly he talks about what you can do to avoid getting into that situation in the first place. He shows how women are usually reactionary and if a husband ca treat his wife the right way she will respond.He shows how if you treat a wife with respect and care she will respond in like fashion. Women are a mirror to how you treat them and if you are getting the cold shoulder you should take a long hard look at yourself. Gary does not promise overnight success but an achievable long term goal.
Growing up I saw my mom go through two divorces and what the effects where on us kids. I watched those men behave selfishly and without regard for my mom’s feelings. They treated her badly and she stayed with them (even after one of them had several affairs) until she felt it was a danger to me and my sister.
