Making money online
There is a lot of ways to make money online. For a big starter there is ebay.
A good start it to take a picture of an item right up as detailed a description about it as you can, and put it up there. Start off small and work towards selling bigger items. You may be surprised by what you can get for things you thought was junk. My father-in-law made a good living and one of his big secrets was to go to fleamarkets with a list of completed items he might be interested in. Then he could see what they went for, what the shipping was, and what the condition was. He could tell nearly immediately whether or not a given item was worth his time. But this is a lot of hardwork you might say, and I don’t want to turn my den/office/dining room into a packing house. Well never fear second rotation will make you an offer on any electronics you might wish to sell on Ebay and sell them for you. You may not get what you could have had you sold it your self, but it will certainly clear your house out of old junk you don’t want anymore.
If you have a writer’s flair then you can certainly try your hand at Mturk and associated content. (I’ve heard their are others out there but I’m always afraid to try something new.) Mturk is backed by Amazon and provides lot’s of little jobs for you to try your hand at. Sign up is easy and you can start working in about 30 min. To start with click on the hits tab, I highly suggest doing a couple of penny or nickel hits to get a feel for things. (My personal record was 15 nickel hits in a minute). Then when you feel confident try your hand at the bigger hits. Write an article or two and see what happens. While your their say Hi to whasupjack if you get the chance. He pays quick and is a joy to write for. Associated content is a whole other animal. You can submit any content you want (within reason), and get paid for it. You have two major choices when it comes to associated content, upfront or performance payments. Upfront is usually a given when you do a call for work from Associated content. You get a set amount for the article and then you get performance payments off of it. Performance payments is payment that you get when people rad your articles. If you write lousy and on subjects no one is interested in you get paid very little. If you write good stuff and on things people want to read about. Well you get the idea.
Programming at home or telecommuting.
It is possible to enter the world of freelance work and actually getting started is not as hard as you might believe. If you want to learn a programming language (and their are WAY too many to type out) punch in your favorite language name followed by tutorial into google. Instant learning that’s usually free. No classes, books, or payment needed. Most of the software you need can be acquired legally and freely (including M$ stuff). Their tons of resources available and when you have learned enough head over to your search engine and type in programming_language_name_here freelance. You will come across many sites that have free freelance services. You can bid on jobs and make money right at home.
Time doesn’t permit me to tell of the other real oppurtunities out there. But I do have some hints.
Don’t pay someone to hire you. I’ve never heard it work out okay. Taking a certification test is one thing but their aren’t any legit “home based business kits” available out there. You can telemarket from home, and you can answer phones for a corporation from home, but I don’t know of any one that is paying people to stuff envelopes. Sorry
Know your field before your try something. Ignorance is bliss until you try to sell yourself. Always compare your skills against the real world (not people that’s a hopeless yard stick) for example if your writing a program test it your self does it break? Can your mom (or other relatives) run it? Try to think ahead like what if I tried to do this with it? Will my cat jumping on the keyboard break it? Etc. and so on. If you want to try your hand at writing take your work and let people read it. Don’t tell them who wrote it and ask them what they think. Take their criticism in stride and use it as a tool to go forward.
Lastly be safe, don’t reveal your identity, bank information, etc to any one unless they are a trust worthy organisation. Paypal, Ebay, Amazon to name a few, are trust worthy places.
Be safe and make some money!
